Economic Development in a Post-Pandemic World
On Monday, August 31 DRF hosted a conversation led by Ted Abernathy of Economic Leadership LLC, DRF with Anita Brown-Graham, UNC School of Government and ncImpact Initiative, and Stephen Moret, president and CEO of the Virginia Economic Development Partnership talking about their expectations for the balance of 2020, and what lasting changes we should all expect in the coming years.
In the recent Virginia Economic Review, Stephen stated that Virginia will be positioned for economic leadership post-pandemic and Anita wrote that small towns could become magnets for talent recruitment. Ted has been traveling the country (virtually) talking and writing about reshoring, robots and remote everything. This was a lively conversation that will help all of us navigate the uncertainty and economic transformation that defines 2020.
