DRF hosted a conversation with Dr. Robert Putnam and Shaylyn Romney Garrett, co-authors of the new book The Upswing: How America Came Together a Century Ago and How We Can Do It Again.

It was an excellent conversation that highlighted how important it is that community development and that idea of "togetherness" can transform places like ours in the future. We fielded questions from our audience and we hope as you watch, that you, like us, will be motivated to look at how we can build a culture of "we" in the Dan River Region.
